Working with Chelsey has been one of the best decisions I have made as a business owner. She consistently demonstrates a remarkable work ethic and an unwavering commitment to the success of the business. She consistently goes above and beyond, whether it’s ensuring the tours are personalized and memorable, training the guides, communicating with clients, or maintaining an engaging blog. Her friendly and approachable demeanor puts everyone at ease.

After reviewing Chelsey’s edits on the first of a series of four articles, I came to look forward to her edits for the remaining three I published in California District Attorneys Association’s publications. Chelsey corrected for punctuation and grammar and evaluated the big picture of each article. She explained her corrections so I understood her reasoning and provided words of encouragement. Though Chelsey is not involved in the legal profession, I found her perspective as a novice useful to ensure my explanations were easy to understand (these articles were written with new attorneys in mind). I would strongly recommend Chelsey’s editing skills to any writer.

Running Tours

Read & Run

Led a series of six runs on the Chicago River, a run of Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood based on Clark & Division, and a run of Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood based on the Lost Book of Adana Moreau.

Self-Guided Historic Tours

Created the Waterways of Lemont tour for Lemont, Illinois. Plotted the route, conducted meticulous research, wrote detailed self-guided tour blog post, and recorded audio version.

I had the chance to work with Chelsey in 2021-2022 when she planned and guided several fantastic running tours for Read & Run Chicago, covering fiction and nonfiction and important topics like Japanese-American history in Chicago and environmental advocacy. Chelsey is extremely thorough, detail-oriented, and creative when it comes to all aspects of the planning process for her running tours, including the research she puts into the program, dedication she puts into practicing her route and script, and thoughtful ways she engages experts to interact with runners during the tours to enhance their learning experience. For example, she took the initiative to develop a six-part series tracing the Chicago River in which various environmental activists and ecology experts spoke directly to members of the Read & Run Chicago community.

She is an exceptional person to work with due to her great communication, delivery prior to deadlines, and drive to produce quality work.  Chelsey is extremely passionate about her work and will put 150% into making sure it’s a success.
