Read & Run on the Road: Book Club Run of The Gangster We Are All Looking For

Main run: Saturday May 11 @ 8:15 a.m.

BONUS run: Thursday May 16 @ 6 p.m.

At the age of six, the narrator of The Gangster We Are All Looking For leaves Vietnam for San Diego with her father. In a story that oscillates between her memories of Vietnam and her new experiences in San Diego, we observe the world through the whimsical, elusive, and sometimes heart-breaking eyes of a child.

There will be a main 4.2 mile run on Saturday May 11 @ 8 a.m. of Linda Vista, San Diego and a bonus 3 mile run of Little Saigon, San Diego Thursday May 16 @ 6 p.m.

This run is similar to a traditional book club. It focuses on the plot, characters, and story, and participants are encouraged to discuss and questions. Attendees are strongly encouraged to read the book ahead of time to have the best experience, for the main Saturday run. For the Thursday run, it is not necessary to have read the book.
